"In these works, the moon is altered to contain rectilinear excavations, " says the art gallery and platform. The day moons depicted are only visible when the moon is bright enough and high enough in the sky. These works also reference the 2016.

Paintings first made after Arsham's introduction to special lenses for correcting his colorblindness. It is hardest for the colorblind to see colors in shadow, and with these particular works Arsham had special blue paint produced with five times the amount of pigment used in normal paint. The 18" x 14" prints were created with eight individual screens on archival Hahnemühle 300g 100% cotton paper and one comes hand-signed and numbered to 300 by the artist.
