HENRY ALKEN SET 6 ORIGINAL COURSING PRINTS 1824 NEVER FRAMED VERY FRESH. This is a fine set of 6 original 1824 aquatints by the English artist Henry Alken. Image is 5 by 8 inches + thread margins and titles. Alken and printed by Thomas McLean in London.

These are as fresh and bright as you will ever find as they came out of a early English scrapbook from the period they were printed in. They are tipped onto a rag type scrap book paper. They include Going Out, Finding Soho, Hiioo Hilloo, Picking Up, Dead Dead, and Going Home. We could not find originals of several of these for sale anywhere.
